Here's 8" iconic Basin Harbor Adirondack Chair painted up for the Vermont Arts Council art auction at the Basin Harbor Club in Basin Harbor Vermont. Their annual“Reflections on Basin Harbor”show runs for 10 days before Labor Day each year, August 10 - 20 this year. They invited previous artists of the show to participate...and what better way than suggest the view when lounging?
Beautiful 100' rows of a few types of grapes growing here in the Mad River Valley. Joseph & Carol Klimek's tour de force garden and views. We love to paint plein air amongst the lovely plantings and views!~
While I was painting the portrait I posted yesterday, these two talented young women played duets for 3 hours. It was so fun to try to capture them next WHILE they were playing. Not so easy to get two likenesses on a 10 x 10 canvas, with 2 violins foreshortened AND four hands!!
A little pressure working with viewers watching!

Plein air at the Stowe Mt Golf Course I had fine day doing demo for the Stowe Arts Festival. I set up in front of the Golf Cottage, after meeting the Golf Pro Ron Philo. The practice green is right below me next to the cart bridge. I've started a moose painting in my studio, and couldn't resist throwing one onto the putting practice green...some folks would later ask " Oh, we missed the moose!" Maybe that's the point of buying paintings ~! You'll have the moment in time always~ It's at my gallery in Stowe, Vermont Fine Art Gallery and looks pretty fine.
I've been painting this off and on since May, and it's still a work in progress. I'd like to do some more Buddha's so it's a relaxing series! Due to the size, I thought it would be easier to roll up to send someone, then anyone could stretch it upon receiving it.
