Cloud Hole - #73011

6 x 6 inches Oil on birch ply

$49 + S

Here is one of my demos for my plein air class on Wednesdays. Thalo blue, Alizarin Crimson and Raw Sienna with Titanium White. It was a spectacular day for viewing clouds as seen below. We painted on the Rolston Rd by the fields of Belted Gallaway cows, that has 365 view of the sky!
So facing west and the Green Mts had end of day light ...so dramatic.

There was a row of us lined up, some using our tailgate as studio.

I started viewing this hole which changed VERY QUICKLY!

These two had a personality on their own.

I could paint clouds all day.

There were some color adjustments I finally got around to making from this June 28 post when I was in Maine. As the sun burned through the overcast morning, the colors were getting brighter.

Moss Glen Falls, Granville VT- #71511

Each 11 x 14 inches Oil on canvas board

These are two separate paintings.

$325. free ship in US (painting on left)

A producer at Chronicle WCVB TV, the half hour New England magazine show that airs on the ABC television affiliate in Boston contacted me to film my class here this week!

He's working on a show, using waterfalls as the connecting theme,
including a number of different elements along the way.( Let's hear it for plein air daily painters!)
I went the day before filming to have one nearly completed,
and a start for another, similar to show the progression.

This was stage before they filmed, with the water yet to be painted in. It's always easier to add the lightest color last and have some of the darks a bit drier so the color lays down.

A gorgeous day in Granville Vermont at the Moss Glen Falls along Rt 100. They are hoping to have it ready to show by September. I'll pass on the date when they let me know!

This local was hot from haying, and came here to cool off the day before the filming!
