Nude Dancer #3714 by Candy Barr

9 x 12 inches charcoal on paper

I finally made it to the Los Feliz Drawing night!
Visiting LA to visit my 19 month old grandson, I had a night off for good behavior to draw.
What an incredible model, who is a dancer, and posed exquisitely for short poses all night long.
And a good crowd sharing the studio of the wonderful painter
Jennifer McChristian
I recommend anyone visiting LA allow yourself a session run by her
terrific husband Ben.

Superstition Mountains - #3614 by Candy Barr

Detail

16 x 20 inches Oil on canvas

It was raining and I was standing under a ramada  when I did this originally.
It has seemed gloomy in my studio, so I gave the sky and some other areas a face lift.

This can be purchased from my gallery in downtown Scottsdale

Pigeon Man - #3414 by Candy Barr

8 x 10 inches Oil on panel

This was one of two paintings I did for the Chocolate Festival
Plein Air Event in Glendale, AZ this February.
While I was painting it, a good artist
friend of mine spotted me painting! She was visiting AZ from VERMONT!
Janet Fredericks...and her husband, Jungian psychologist and magician,
Tom Verner with his Dad. (check out Magicians Without Borders)
Quite the trio.
It was so unbelievable in a crowd of thousands to
randomly connect with a neighbor and good friend~!
